Beast Coast affiliates AK and Issa Gold, collectively known as The Underachievers, have been among the Flatbush ZOMBiES and Joey Bada$$‘s Pro Era squad as key components in New York’s hip hop resurgence over the last couple of years. After delivering their debut project Cellar Door: Terminus Ut Exordium in 2014, the Flatbush duo will return with their sophomore LP Evermore: The Art Of Duality sometime this Fall.
Setting things off properly, The Underachievers deliver “Take Your Place.” Loaded with double-time bassline, a haunting vocal sample and booming drums, the single sounds more suited for the soundtrack to the apocalypse instead.
