Jetson made his first appearance on the DopeHouse at the end of May with the contemplative “Paths.” The New Zealand emcee returns once again, this time remixing Amerigo Gazaway’s flip of A Tribe Called Quest’s “Bonita Applebum” – adding a verse of his own Kiwi flavor.
“When I was sleeping in cars, I saw your name in the stars,” remember Jetson, who has a less-than-stellar review of his own “Bonita Applebum.” It seems his love has gone awry, even though he still cares for her hoping she’s well. He summarizes his love’s beauty and downfall, spitting, “you were blessed from your breath to your essence of making a mess of love.”
