Comedian Hannibal Buress has his own show, Why? with Hannibal Buress, on Comedy Central now, and three episodes in, he has already had Flying Lotus DJ two of his shows. Last night, The Chicago-born host brought on Open Mike Eagle and Thundercat to perform one of the most underrated songs of the year, in my opinion, Mike Eagle’s “Ziggy Starfish (Anti-Anxiety Raps).”
Thundercat’s bass improv is incredible, as always, and Buress seemed geeked up for these two to be the first musical guest. Quality of the show aside, it’s awesome Buress is giving a dude like Mike Eagle, who has worked with Buress in the past, a platform to perform on cable television.
