It’s been quite some time since the DopeHouse has seen Bridget Kelly. In the time since the release of her last project, the 2013 EP Cut To… Bridget Kelly, the New York-reared writer/songstress has stepped away from Roc Nation to pursue her dreams on an independent scale.
Announcing that the “Summer of 17” has arrived, she has linked up with Mack Wilds (who I’m hoping will drop a follow-up to his own 2013 project, New York: A Love Story, soon), on this new single. Shooting down possible suitors because they’re being pleasant to her since she’s in some “pum pum shorts,” Bridget and Kelly trade back playful vocals over a breezy instrumental. Listen below.
