Glass Animals, the ridiculously talented, sonically pleasing group out of England, has covered Erykah Badu and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the same damn time on their newest release, “Gold Lime.”
The band uses the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s lyrics and their own unique instrumental interpretation of “Gold Lion” and combines it with Badu’s “The Healer” for a holy-shit-these-guys-are-musical-geniuses-for-putting-this-together moment. If you didn’t realize when they covered Kanye’s “Love Lockdown,” or even throughout any of their debut album, Zaba, Glass Animals are a got damn force to be reckoned with on the creativity side of music.
