After crafting and/or contributing to a medley of tracks whether as a member of the Yancey Boys or Slum Village the younger brother of J Dilla, Illa J, will release his first-ever solo album this Fall. A self-titled project, Illa connected with Canadian production duo Potatohead People to produce the entire LP. After dropping the first single, “Universe,” in the early days of summer, the recent transplant of Montreal, Quebec, Canada returns with its accompanying visual treatment.
