It’s been a busy week for the Funk Volume crew. Currently in New York, Hopsin, Jarren Benton and Dizzy Wright made headlines earlier when they openly challenged any label to a 3-on-3 battle. They don’t care if it’s Shady, they don’t care if it’s TDE, they don’t care who it is – as long as they got the money to back it up. That’s because the talented trio have put $500,000 down on their end.
Will anyone step up? Probably not. I don’t see any label latching on to the bait with the possibility that their roster could face defeat. It’s more than a half a million dollars down the drain. You’ve got your artist’s fan base taking a hit, fickle “fans” abandoning ship, and an overall strike on their credibility. Ok… it’s the 500 racks!
But, in case any label is actually considering taking Hop, Jarren and Dizzy up on their challenge, the FV reps decided to offer a taste of what the opposition can expect.
