2015 has been quite good for many rappers, both new jack and veteran. The year is only two-thirds done, yet there’s been more Billboard-toppers than all of 2014 combined. Some of today’s top artists are headlining some of the largest festivals throughout the planet. One of the summer’s biggest films was a biopic based on the life and times of The World’s Most Dangerous Group. Even some rappers have been arguing with each other, which has resulted in a diss song cracked the Billboard Hot 100.

Today (August 21st) is no different. While the hip hop world mourned and celebrated the life of Sean Price and his new release Songs In The Key Of Price, one of the most popular members of the Wu-Tang Clan, Method Man, has revealed his fifth solo album The Meth Lab. A project nine years in the making, the rejuvenated Johnny Blaze has teased fans with a multitude of hard-hitters over the last several weeks, and has now unveiled the project in its entirety.

Keeping it strictly Wu, The Meth Lab features guest appearances from a few familiar faces: longtime affiliate Streetlife, fellow Buddha brother Redman, Wu-brethren Inspectah Deck and Raekwon, Mack Wilds, Cory Gunz, Uncle Murda and many more. As a bonus Method Man has included all of the project’s instrumentals as well, so that aspiring struggle rappers can imagine joining their favorite rapper on his own tracks.
