We haven’t heard much from Eryn Allen Kane, outside of work with The Social Experiment & Prince, since she stunned with heavy soul vibes on “Have Mercy,” but the Chitown singer is back with the soothing “Slipping.”

Kane brings out her inner blues on “Slipping,” analyzing her situation of love, noticing that she and her lover aren’t quite acting the same anymore. At times, it’s for the better, but sometimes they’re drifting apart. She’s led by a clean guitar before the mood becomes more bubbly toward the end and Kane’s amazing, vocal chops are displayed once again. She’s hooked, and it’s only time before we find if it’s for the best or not.
