At the end of July, Prince3rdEyeGirl announced plans to drop the man formerly a symbol’s  38th studio album, The Hit & Run Album, on September 18. The first single, “HARDROCKLOVER,” unleashed on the first of July, and now, nearly two months later and weeks before the album’s release, we get another sound, “This Could B Us.”

The song is a stretch to be in-touch with today’s quickness and trends of the Internet, revolving around the meme “This could be us,” usually followed by a “but you playin'” or something that is never funny. Anyway, Prince decided he wanted to make a song about it and attach some really poor artwork that’s supposed to be an example of the meme. Using Dave Chappelle’s impression of him as artwork was funny. This? Well, maybe let’s try this again.

The song originally appeared on Prince’s Art Official Age released last year, but this version is drawn out and more layered instrumentally. You can listen to “This Could B Us” exclusively on TIDAL, but if you don’t have the streaming service, you can listen to a 30-second preview below until we can get ahold of a rip of the audio.
