NYC-by-way-of-Maryland singer/songwriter Chris McClenney last appeared on the DopeHouse delivering a remix of GoldLink’s “Sober Thoughts,” and today the Soulection member returns with a soothing, soulful cut, “Tell Me.”
McClenney is invigorated by the sight of a certain woman, and he wants to pursue those feelings. It’s a case of being captivated by the simple act of eye contact and wanting to act on that, which is something that doesn’t happen nearly as often nowadays. In the world of online dating, sliding into DMs and hookup apps, there’s less of a desire to pursue feelings developed from in-person connections, but not for Chris. The singer shares his feelings over the piano-driven, bubbly production.
