Coincidentally, I’d just listened to Mario‘s 2004 single “Let Me Love You,” and had fleetingly begun to wonder where he’s been lately. I have no shame in admitting that his catalog is loaded with songs I’ve enjoyed, from “Just a Friend 2002” all the way to “Break Up.” However, since then I’ve not seen too much of him outside of competing on Dancing With the Stars and… well, that’s it.
However he’s now back on the comeback trail, prepping his fifth album Never Too Late for a (tentatively scheduled) release date of November 27th. To set things off he reunites with producer Scott Storch (the two collaborated on “Let Me Love You”) on the uptempo first single, with Rick Ross riding shotgun throughout.
I’m interested in seeing what’s next from Mario from this point.
