Will Smith Stars In ‘Concussion,’ The Story Of NFL Trying To Hide Head-Trauma Issues

Christmas is going to be a helluva a day for moviegoers. Joining the new Star Wars film, The Revenant and The Hateful 8 is Concussion, a film starring WIll Smith as Dr. Bennet Omalu.

Omalu is the doctor who discovered CTE, a brain disease cause by repeated head trauma that was attempted to be downplayed by the NFL, and the film follows the diseases discover and Omalu’s attempt to have the NFL acknowledge the disease and how terrible it can get. The disease is often found in American football players because of how often heads collide.
