Making his debut on the DopeHouse is Chicago emcee Ju with his new single “BURGUNDY” featuring WebsterX, whose “Lately” visual is still one of my favorite of the year.

Produced by Jae Genius, Ju’s new single covers the struggles of life, describing the experience as a “roshambo,” the game where two dudes try and kick each other in nuts until one of them eventually falls. That’s as accurate a description of life as I’ve ever heard. Over the guitar samples and relaxed drums, the two emcees grapple with the difficulties of success. “I need a Rolex so can Boflex like ‘how much you paid?’,” spits Ju, knowing that it’s gonna take a shit load of work to get to that point.

Listen to “BURGUNDY,” which will land on Ju’s THE CAGE EP hopefully dropping soon, below.
