Despite what I thought about the album, The Weeknd‘s Beauty Behind the Madness was expected to move a ton of records because of massive singles like “Can’t Feel My Face,” “Earned It” and “Often.” Turns out, he did, selling 326,000 album with an additional 86,000 in sales coming from streams to end up with a whopping 412,000 in first-week sales, according to Billboard. Those numbers came pretty close to the projections for the week.

That’s easily good for No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart. This is The Weeknd’s first No. 1 album.

Halsey, a 20-year-old singer going on tour with The Weeknd, dropped her debut LP, Badland, and opened selling 115,000 albums, which is hella impressive for someone so young.

Congrats to The Weeknd. You can say he…………………. earned it.

I’m sorry. Just enjoy the news.
