It’s an all-Ohio affair like the 1980 Governors’ Cup Final on G. Huff’s new stunting single, “Be Easy,” featuring Vice Souletric and production from Hi-Tek.

To be real, I was trying to start this post as “it’s all all-Ohio affair” followed by a moment where two Ohio sports teams met in the playoffs of a major sport, but then after some research (via BaseballReference), I realized that’s never happened. So I did a small amount of digging until I found the Colombus Clippers and the Toledo Mud Hens played each other in the International League’s Governor’s Cup final. It’s essentially the World Series of this one Triple-A minor league. Now I know what you’re thinking: “Was there anyone notable on any of those teams?” OF COURSE NOT. It’s minor league baseball in Ohio.

This new song, “Be Easy,” is far more entertaining than I’m sure that series was. If only the Mud Hens could’ve come back from being down 3-1 in the series to win the best of seven games… Then we’d be having a different conversation.
