GoldLink – “Dance On Me” (Video)

blame it on Patrick Glynn September 15, 2015

This summer was hot. It’s starting to get less miserable to walk outside in Gainesville, and if you’ve ever lived in Florida, you know that there are days where the 30-foot walk from your house to your car seems like a chore and a reason to bring three extra shirts just so you don’t have enter your next destination looking like you took part in the world’s most unnecessary wet t-shirt contest.

But just because the weather is starting to cool doesn’t mean GoldLink has to. Between releasing tracks to dance the summer night away and starting to go on tour with Mac Miller, the DMV native continued his bubbling hype this summer, with the track “Dance On Me” helping in a big way. That single now has a visual, which was premiered by The FADER.

GoldLink told the magazine his mom loves his song, but she doesn’t like the fact that the song is R-rated. So, in a message to his mom, he said, “Mom, I made you a video that’s PG.” The video has the vibe of an old Chris Brown video for some reason. I can’t pinpoint it, but the neon blue vibes paired with the youth and dance bring the memory of the “Forever” video to the forefront.

Anyway, you can watch the video above, and get ready for more GoldLink because you know the dude isn’t stopping now.
