Remember Miami’s infatuation with booty bass music, particularly during the Freaknik era? Sure you do; songs like Tag Team’s effervescently corny “Whoomp! (There It Is),” the 69 Boyz’ “Tootsee Roll,” and essentially everything Uncle Luke did? I guarantee you that some of you, the visitors of this site, were conceived with those songs as the soundtracks.

Well, the latest single from KYLE evokes those old-school memories. Produced by Stefan Ponce and M-Phazes, the song – which “channels deep house and ’90s R&B vibes” – features an interpolation of K.P. & Envyi’s “Shorty Swing My Way”. Taken from his upcoming project SMYLE, listen to the uptempo track below.

By the way, Uncle Luke’s “Scarred?” Still goes.
