Back in April, Cali spitter DUBB dropped one of the better projects of the year with his Perfect Timing mixtape. The 14-track offering was full of honest and passionate rhymes with guest features from the likes of KXNG Crooked, Joell Ortiz, Emilio Rojas, and more. One of the standout songs from the project was the Remixx-produced “Middle America” with Jake&Papa, and today, the song gets an accompany visual.

Directed by Justin Dolan, the video begins with some insightful words from the late Tupac Shakur, before showing clips of MLK speeches, peace rallies, and recent protests throughout.

Having passed through some of the most high profile platforms Hip-Hop culture has to offer, while also working with some of the industry’s biggest names, DUBB’s star is only rising. The Rapfest paid a visit to DUBB in his home turf for the first installment of their documentary series, Archives. With gang affiliations playing such an integral role in the lives of South Central’s youth, DUBB sees beyond the bloodshed, using his music as the light in the dark.
