Recently, Furious Five legend – and Creatine spokesperson – Melle Mel randomly (inexplicably?) called out the likes of JAY Z and Kendrick Lamar for not paying homage to their musical forefathers, after he performed “Downtown” with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis at the 2015 MTV VMAs.

Put a pin in that for a second.

Were Slick Rick, Biz Markie and Q-Tip not on Jay’s “Girls, Girls, Girls?” Wasn’t George Clinton not on Kendrick’s “Wesley’s Theory” as well? But I’m digressing.

It is possible that Mel may have forgotten about that gem The Blueprint, and it is possible that he skipped To Pimp A Butterfly as well. However, if he somehow overlooks this other other collaboration with George, produced by Louie Vega? I’m going to call malarkey on that statement.
