Remember back in the late 80s and early 90s when “answer” songs were all the rage? Yeah, we’d rather not be reminded of those times. They were extremely corny (“No Scrubs” and “No Pigeons”, anyone?), with the exception of joints like “South Bronx”/”The Bridge Is Over” or “New York, New York”/”L.A., L.A.” Or the “Roxanne” wars.
Well, Jadakiss’ take on Drake’s “Hotline Bling” isn’t technically an answer record, unless you factor in Kehlani‘s or Alessia Cara‘s versions.
