While the rest of the world was engaged in whatever monotonous or exciting activities they may have found themselves in last night, a lucky group of people in Los Angeles were treated to something extra special: Kanye West performing his seminal fourth studio album 808s & Heartbreak.

The album marked a special paradigm shift in Hip-Hop, and well, music in general. The peculiar thing about this event was the fact that this was supposed to actually be a celebration of his sophomore album, Late Registration which turned 10 years old on August 30th. But this is Kanye West – potential future leader of the free world we’re talking about – and he does what the fuck he wants.

Held at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, the sold out event was backed by a live orchestra (because, Kanye) and was reportedly an all out assault on the senses, including visuals, fireworks, well choreographed dancers and of course, the special guests. Of course, not everything went exactly as planned, and a few “technical hiccups” were thrown into the mix, keeping everyone on their feet, literally and figuratively.

Throughout the night, Jeezy joined ‘Ye on stage for a performance of “Amazing” while KiD CuDi rocked fan favorites like “Heartless,” “Paranoid” and “Welcome to Heartbreak.”
