Childish Gambino Covers Tamia’s “So Into You”

Donald Glover has been rather absent from the music world under his Childish Gambino persona as he focuses on the acting side that helped his rise to fame. Between appearing in The Martian and Magic Mike XXL and prepping his sitcom set to air on FX, music has been placed on the back burner. Hopefully, though, Gambino’s recent appearance on an Australian radio station signals a venture back into the waiting ears of the hip-hop world.

Gambino hopped on the Triple J radio station Down Under ahead of a performance in the country to cover Tamia’s “So Into You.” Much like his cover of Usher’s “U Don’t Have To Call” on his STN MTN mixtape, the song begins stripped down showcasing Donald’s vocals before the band comes in to complete the performance.

Childish Gambino has developed a habit of dropping new music/project in November/December, so let’s hope we’re warming up to something with this performance.
