UPDATE (10/8): The dates have been revealed and it looks like I’m adding Brooklyn, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Washington, Los Angeles, Columbus, and Oakland to my sh*t list. This is crap – Vegas never gets love.
Kendrick Lamar barely uses his Instagram account, having only posted three pictures up to this point. However, his account has such a huge following that his announcements can still make great reverberations.
I say this because K. Dot took to the ‘Gram to announce that he will embark on a mini-tour known as Kunta’s Groove Sessions.
Billed as “8 cities, 8 nights, 8 intimate shows,” Kunta’s Groove Sessions will find Kendrick Lamar backed by The Wesley Theory – and special guest, Jay Rock.
10.27 Atlanta, GA (The Tabernacle) *
10.29 Dallas, TX (South Side Music Hall) *
11.01 Washington, DC (Lincoln Theatre) *
11.10 Oakland, CA (Fox Theater) *
* “Kunta’s Groove Sessions” with Jay Rock and the Wesley Theory
The other four dates will be announced in the coming days.
This comes on the heels of Kendrick Lamar announcing that he will perform tracks from To Pimp a Butterfly with Washington, DC’s National Symphony Orchestra on October 20th at the Kennedy Center.
