Earlier in the year, WebsterX popped on my radar thanks to my friend’s “top songs of the year so far” in July with the Milwaukee emcee/singer’s “Lately.” Soon after, the stunning — and I mean STUNNING — visual came out followed by an infectious appearance on Ju’s “BURGUNDY.” Finally, though, after months of waiting, I get to experience a new WebsterX release, and it comes with a feature from Allan Kingdom and production from Boathouse.
WebsterX describes the song as “midwest boys on a mission,” and it holds true when he and Allan Kingdom display their aggressive, passionate bars of becoming successful with their “Kinfolk.” It shares a similar message as the song that got me into WebsterX, only with a much different tone brought on by Closed Sessions producer Boathouse.
Listen to “Kinfolk” below.
