Watch The ‘Daredevil: Season 2’ Teaser, Because Elektra & The Punisher

I got into a discussion – okay, an unintelligible argument – with some of my colleagues, because I’m the only one in my circle who hasn’t watched The Wire, The Sopranos and Breaking Bad. The reason is simple: I’ve just never cared about those shows, and despite that they’re readily available on platforms such as Netflix, Hulu and HBO GO, I’ve never been compelled to sit around at home and watch them. However, that does not mean that I do not watch certain television shows faithfully: The Walking Dead, Archer, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and The League are among my favorite shows on television today, an while it took a long time to watch I became a fan of the Netflix series Daredevil.

(Clearly, this is because of our unabashed comic book Stannery here at the DopeHouse, but I’m digressing because it was a really good show.)

The show almost instantly got renewed for a second season after its debut in April 2015 to huge ratings and critical acclaim, and during the recent NYC Comic Con Marvel unveiled a small preview of the forthcoming re-up. While the first season served more as establishing the Daredevil universe within the confines of the entire MCU, the second will take things to a proverbial next level as it will introduce two of the most important characters in Matt Murdock’s life: Elektra Natchios and Frank Castle. As anybody can attest, it was Frank Miller’s work with the character that inspires the series, and this brief preview appears to continue the dark overtones of the first season.

While there’s no set release date for Season 2 (I’m assuming it will be sometime in April, just like the first season) Marvel will instead debut another series, Jessica Jones on November 20th, which will serve as an “in-between” show for Daredevil.

So, yeah, I may break tradition and take a weekend to watch this. Knowing me, however, I probably won’t though.
