Macklemore: Grammy Award winner. Platinum album seller. Newly-minted father. And unrepentant fan of the Seattle Seahawks.

Russell Wilson. Super bowl winning quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks. Spouse of Ciara. Newly-minted recipient of a four-year, $87.6 million contract.

Aside from the obvious Emerald City connection, what else do the two have in common? Apparently, Bose.

The two recently got together for an advert (the NFL has an exclusive deal with Bose), and the commercial is exactly what you expect from the two: off-kilter, strange and awkwardly chuckle-inducing. Promoting the company’s new line of wireless headphones, Mack follows a seemingly oblivious Russell around his home saying the most random things throughout the clip. It all makes sense towards the end, however.

People may bash Bose as being the “dad bod” of headphones, especially in comparison to its obvious rival Beats By Dre. But as an owner of a pair of both, I can say that I don’t really notice any significant difference between the two outside of the fact that Beats’ over-the-ear headphones are a bit heavier than its Bose equivalent. But this commercial certainly isn’t going to convince a legion of youths to start rocking Bose headphones in their rap videos any time soon, and at this point I think Bose will be just fine without that.
