First things first: who knew that Kanye West had a SoundCloud page?

Anyways, while all of his attention lately has been focused on nostalgia-inducing concerts, his couture aspirations and his political goals, not a lot has been brought forth on the music front. While the last actual song Kanye dropped – as a solo artist – was “All Day,” Kanye randomly decides to let loose a pair of “new” songs today.

After West contributed his production talents to “Tell Your Friends” from The Weeknd, Kanye takes back his own beat to wax some Auto-Tune poetics of his own. Channeling the 808s & Heartbreak feels (he’s since said that both Yeezus and 808s are better and more ground-breaking than his 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy), he calls his brief version “When I See It.”

Speaking of 808s, he actually revisits the 2008 album with this remake of the album’s opening track “Say You Will,” now adding Pulitzer Prize-winning violinist, singer, and composer Caroline Shaw to give the song an even more evocative and emotionally-gripping feel.

As is the norm, there’s no explanation why Kanye cranked out these two tracks, but at this point his music fans will take anything that isn’t exorbitantly priced clothing (note: his Yeezy Season 1 line with adidas hits stores October 29th)…. even if it isn’t “Wolves…” or So Help Me God… or SWISH. And while there may not be any sign of music for a while, these will do.
