DJ Heron refers to himself as “The Peruvian BoomBap DJ,” for his fondness of the vintage, golden era-inspired hip hop sonics. The Florida-based turntablist took up trip to the Northeast to connect with a pair of hip hop veterans – Black Rob and Thirstin Howl III – for a new track, “Man Of Respect.

Sampling the sinister guitar licks of the Southside Movement’s 1973 “I’ve Been Watching You,” Banco Popular’s verse will remind listeners of when he was one of Bad Boy’s top emcees while the legendary ‘Lo Life shows that he still hasn’t lost a step after over a decade in the game.
