After Jeezy’s talk on the legacy of President Obama, it was Raury‘s turn to take a seat as a panelist on The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore. Alongside regulars Mike Yard and Natasha Rothwell, the four talked about a GroupMe app that racially profiled Blacks. No, seriously, there is a GroupMe chat that racially profiles Black people. I’m in a few GroupMe chats, and every one usually revolves around jokes, sex and other such barbershop banter… you know, like normal people. But for one that warns people of “scary-looking POC?” That’s a new one for me.
Raury was also the very first musical guest on the show, performing his single “Fly” with a harmonica player riding shotgun.
