Michael da Vinci, who first made an appearance on the DopeHouse via Isaiah Rashad‘s “Brad Jordan” off Cilvia Demo, resurfaces with “Passing Me By,” the first song off an upcoming mixtape.

The Chattanooga emcee explores his feelings about his city growing up on “Passing Me By,” feeling that it’s hard to accomplish his large goals where he lives. He hums, “time passing me by, living my life as the wind blows,” as he paints the picture of people struggling with the daily hustle. It’s hard to accomplish big-city goals when you’re busy trying to pay student loans, make rent and put some food on the table.
