It’s been quite some time since we’ve heard anything new from Canadian emcee Classified, with his last sighting here at the DopeHouse being “Higher” (featuring B.o.B).
Now, with a Greatful, a new album on its way next year (Jan. 15th), Classified calls on the King of chorus cuts, DJ Premier for the first single, perfectly titled “Filthy.” It’s important to note, Preme merely supplies the cuts for the song, which makes the song that much grimier.
The visual is an obvious throwback to 90s boom-bap, with nods to relics like VHS and cassette tapes (the former which influences the majority of the video’s look and feel) and BET’s legendary Rap City series.
