Last night during halftime of Monday Night Football, ESPN debuted a snippet of a new Missy Elliott song featuring Pharrell called “WTF (Where They From).” According to the beginning of the ad, the single will drop November 13, but if I had any guess, we’ll get the hear the full song before that.
Missy has been absent from the releasing solo music, for the most part, since 2008. She’s appeared on songs with J. Cole, Faith Evans and Janet Jackson (this year on “Burnitup!“) since then.
It’s going to be nice having Missy back, as this new single is sure to lead to a project. Listen to the snippet below, and hopefully the full CDQ version of this comes out sooner rather than later.
