One of the year’s more pleasant surprises was the oddball mashup of Run The Jewels‘ self-titled 2014 album with various cat sounds. Titled Meow The Jewels, the entire album was created for a great cause: all of the proceeds from the album will go to charity.
What originally started off as a weed-induced joke became an actual full-length project, with Just Blaze, Dan The Automator, Alchemist, Zola Jesus, Nick Hook, BOOTS and many more contributing to it. That process is now documented in this new documentary paw-cumentary, with Mike an El detailing the entire process of re-recording Run The Jewels 2 as well as explaining what exactly they did with the money that was raised.
