Rob Cave – “-40°”

The artist formerly known as Spec Boogie, Rob Cave was one of my favorite emcees out of the Lessondary crew that including Elucid, Tanya Morgan and Che Grand. Unfortunately, he’s harder to catch than Carmen Sandiego musically these days, promising a follow-up to his 2010 album Introspective for many moons now.

Finally, and on November 11th, Rob will release his long-in-the-works Books & Chicks & Brooklyn Sh*t. With contributions from the likes of Your Old Droog, Donwill, Von Pea, Brook D’leau (of J*DaVeY) and more, this looks to be Spec’s most ambitious project yet. He’s now released the first offering from the project, produced by The Stuyvesants, which can be seen below.
