Little Simz is in a great mood right now. She dropped her debut album, A Curious Tale Of Trials + Persons, has been touring throughout the globe and will soon travel to South Africa to both perform and shoot her next music video. Being in such a chipper spirit, the English spit-fire has decided to share a new song with her fans.
While out in Los Angeles during the summer of 2015, Simz would connect with Hit-Boy for a few studio sessions. One such end result is “Don’t Forget,” a song that starts off unassumingly groovy before its accompanying drums kick-start the stutter-stepping backdrop. Simz has always found her groove when spitting her unwaveringly rapid-fire bars over frenetically paced backdrops, but Hit-Boy’s more melodic sonics – which could serve as a late-night rive up and down Sunset Boulevard – mesh perfectly with Simz’ monster mash.
