Russ continues his weekly stretch of releasing free music with “Losin’ Control,” where the ATL singer tells the story of a woman trying to fight falling in love because of past trust issues.
The song gets pretty detailed and personal, so maybe Russ was the man whom the woman couldn’t bring herself to trust, which is an entirely too-relatable story. There’s a revolving door of love, and once one person can’t trust another because of something that happened in the past, that feeling can get be acquired by the untrusted person and passed to future relationships.
Russ’ last couple joints, including “Liquor, Weed & Fucking Often,” have been pretty smooth and vocally focused. Listen to “Losin’ Control” below.
