To the average young’n, the name DJ Cam may ring unfamiliar. Nonetheless, the French DJ/producer has had one foot firmly planted in Hip-Hop’s cypher for over 20 years. The other foot? Fixed into the picturesque landscape of the jazz scene.
During the mid 90s, DJ Cam incorporated his love for both genres into Trip-Hop, releasing a few solid joints such as Mad Blunted Jazz, Abstract Manifesto and Underground Vibes. However, Cam may be best known for his work on his own release of the DJ-Kicks series featuring UK emcees Rodney P, The Ragga Twins and KRS-One affiliated Channel Live.
