In the four years since his last project All Day DeShay: AM, Chicago emcee brandUn DeShay has spent a considerable amount of time working on its following up and focusing more on his production talents, working with everyone from Dom Kennedy, Action Bronson, Vic Mensa, The Underachievers and Chance The Rapper to up-and-comers like Boston-reared artist OG SWAGGERDICK, Stro and CJ Fly. Now brandUn has, at long last, revealed his sophomore album goldUn Child.
After releasing a series of B-sides – “It’s goldUn,” “The Break Up/Break Down,” “GLOin’ UP,” “Creepin’” and “It’s OK pt.2” – DeShay follows up those previously-vaulted tracks with an 11-track full-length. Featuring the songs “Had ‘Em All,” “Chi-bUya” and “yUng N’ On Da ComeUp,” brandUn aims to reintroduce himself to the world again with his long-in-the-works new release.
