Considering Adele will be ruling the charts from here on out, it makes sense why last week was flooded with releases from Ty Dolla $ign, Jeezy, Skeme, Logic, Redman, Rapper Big Pooh & Nottz, and MoSS. I mean, who really wants to feel the emotional wrath of the British powerhouse?

It was widely believed that Hip-Hop wouldn’t be taking the #1 spot on Billboard this week, as it was obvious that title would belong to Justin Bieber or One Direction. And with 522,000 in album sales (649k with streams), it was Bieber who managed to snatch the crown (for a sixth time) with Purpose.

Rounding out the Top 5—Logic’s The Incredible True Story took the third podium with 118,000 sold (135k with streams), followed by Jeezy’s Church In These Streets at No. 4 with 98,000 (107k with streams).

Lastly, a little further down the charts, Ty Dolla $ign’s Free TC moved 15,805 (22,261 with streams) in its first week.
