After joining together with GoldLink for a single in October, Benny Sings, a singer from Amsterdam, connects with another American act, Mayer Hawthorne, for “Shoebox Money.”

I mean, I know we’re all for supplying you with new music from all the artists you (and we) like, and that includes Mayer Hawthorne, but man, “Shoebox Money” doesn’t stop being weird with Benny Sings’ name. Or the artwork. Pulling synthesizers straight from the Europop era of the 1980s, Benny hiccups (or what he calls singing) while Mayer Hawthorne shows up to collect his check. I’d like to imagine this is a parody of some sort, but this doesn’t stray far from Benny’s joint with GoldLink.

If you don’t mind weird, press play. If no, at least Flocka’s mixtape came out today.
