Bobby Ross Avila is one-half of the Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter duo the Avila Brothers, alongside his brother Iz, have composed music for the likes of Usher, Janet Jackson, Chaka Khan and Anthony Hamilton. They are also, coincidentally, the masterminds behind one of my favorite R&B songs of all time, “I Want You.”
Bobby is now releasing a solo EP, titled Beats, Riots + Lives, on December 1st, which has him exploring the themes of equality, discrimination and various socially conscious topics. He teams with KXNG CROOKED for its first single, “Heaven & Hell,” which can be heard below.
