You see, this is why Mondays aren’t so bad after all.

Homeboy Sandman and Aesop Rock, two emcees who have made large waves in the independent rap scene, decided to make a five-track EP, LICE, together and, better yet, release it for free. The EP contains production from DJ Spinna, Optiks, Blockhead and Alex “Apex” Gale, while the two emcees with extremely distinctive voices and rhymes are sure to bring bars.

I know Shake isn’t a huge fan of surprise releases, but I have no doubt he’ll be more than ecstatic about this one. According to Stones Throw, physical copies of LICE will be available while the two tour over the next year.

The two emcees released a statement via Stones Throw on what to do with the money you potentiually may have spent on LICE:

The music is free, but if you are feeling charitable, here are a couple organizations we recommend where your donation can make a difference: cityharvest.org | prepforprep.org

Please share Lice, and always be good to one another.

Peace and love,
Aesop Rock & Homeboy Sandman.
