Sometimes we stray a bit away from the rap/hip-hop scene here at the DopeHouse, but when we do, it’s because of talent like King Krule.

The 21-year-old singer out of England last appeared on our radar at the beginning of 2014 when artists like Travi$ Scott and RatKing collaborated on remixes of songs from 2013’s 6 Feet Beneath The Moon. About a week ago, he posted a picture of himself on Instagram with the caption “ANP2D coming soon ….” We now know “ANP2D” is a new art book with an accompanying soundtrack and documentary called A New Place 2 Drown, all which will come out on December 10.

According to the project’s website, A New Place 2 Drown is a “poetry and art book” by Archy Marshall (King Krule) and his brother, Jack.

The book shows the creative process the brothers share as well as their social and home lives in South London. An accompanying soundtrack by Archy Marshall will be available 10th December 2015. A short film about the project by Will Robson Scott is available below.

The website also had a trailer for the documentary, which you can watch below, and the ability to stream three songs from the project (if you hold down the “Music” option on the site). The project will be released under King Krule’s real name (Archy Marshall), but just because the name changed, the talent didn’t.
