Allan Kingdom has been on the DopeHouse radar for a couple years now as one of the head honchos in Minneapolis’ forever-bubbling scene. He was last fully active with solo effort in 2014, when he dropped his Future Memoirs LP. In the same year, he co-starred alongside Spooky Black, Bobby Raps and Psymun as the stand4rd and released a self-titled project. Kingdom, whose 22nd birthday is today, broke out to the ears of the massive when he appeared on Kanye West’s “All Day” last March, where his signature wavering chants were featured on the song’s hook.

The MPLS native returns again today with a new album, Northern Lights. A 13-track project with features from Jared Evan, Chronixx, D.R.A.M., and Gloss Gang. On the production side of things, Kingdom gets help from his friends Psymun and Bobby Raps, as well as Plain Pat and Adrian Lau.
