The-Dream is at that crux in his career where he’s attained so much success doing what is the considered the “norm” that he can now take experimental risks without compromising his integrity. This is what he did with his December 2015 surprise release of IAMSAM, and this is what he is doing with his ambitious new “art film,” titled “Genesis.”
“Genesis” is a short film which Terius describes as a glimpse of his daily thoughts…
The message [of “Genesis”] is for the viewer to decide, for me the message is simple, these faces or bodies represent something inside of me, a feeling. You have to look past what you see and past what you hear to even be near the essence of it.
“Gensis” also has ten brand-new songs from The-Dream, such as the Wiz Khalifa-featured “Virtuous.”
