Brown Bag AllStar J57 is making new waves for 2016, with a newly established imprint dubbed FiveSeven Music (which has already released Brooklyn emcee Mean Joe Scheme‘s You Gotta Watch LP) as well as aligning himself with fresh talent. The latest includes GRAMMY-award winning Tiffany Topol, who, alongside the BBAS producer-on-the-mic, forms the group Goldie Haunt (Tiff on vocals, J57 on production).
With their debut project due for launch later this year, the two break the fast with the first single, “Impatient” – due out on J’s solo LP I’m The J57. With its catchy, minimalist chorus and production, “Impatient” is guaranteed to soak in your head and will have you nodding like a dope fiend for more. My only complaint? This joint is too short. Hopefully there’s an extended version floating somewhere out there.
