Similar to Tim Westwood unveiling vintage gems over the last several Thursdays, DJ Absolut has been pleasing hip hop heads with his own throwback revelations. From HNIC-era Prodigy going over a beat from The Blueprint all the way to a Royce Da 5’9″ cut while he was still signed to Game Records, Ab has delighted rap fans from all over with these drops.

He’s gone a little bit deeper, this time around, revealing a song from Nas in the form of “Last N*gga Alive.” Previously vaulted, it is a take on the same song found on Nas’ 2002 album God’s Son, which arrived during the height of his battle with JAY Z Jay-Z. At the very least, it will remind listeners of that rather epic period in New York hip hop; at most, it’ll earn Nas’ seventh album a couple of spins.
