Wiz Khalifa was spotted on the red carpet at this evening’s festivities for the 73rd Golden Globe awards, because – well, the Pittsburgh rapper landed a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song for his 4x platinum single “See You Again.” The video for that single has also accumulated over 1.33 billion views on YouTube, which makes it the third most viewed video of all time.

While on the carpet, Wiz revealed to E! that he’ll be releasing a brand new album in less that a couple of weeks:

Everything is good. I got a new album on the way. It’s coming out January 22nd. I came off of two really successful tours this year, so we’re gearing up for some more tours now.

That album just happens to be Khalifa – which he announced a few days after Christmas. This sixth studio album from Wiz will arrive before Rolling Papers 2: The Weed. So mark those calendars!
