“N***a, I’m a basket case. Grab the eight, run out of shells and bash your face.”

Let’s keep it all the way live here: the rap game, and life in general just hasn’t been quite the same since the late, great Sean Price dearly departed this world in the physical form. I still think back to that tragic day and I’ve kept that email which included the unfortunate press release as a reminder of the great loss we all experienced that day.

Sure, there have been incredible tributes in the form of murals and Dru Ha’s touching eulogy, yet it’s one incredibly bitter pill to swallow.

Luckily for us, we have what seems like a near infinite deep discography from P! that will forever keep his legacy, memory and what he’s done for the rap game alive.

Case in point, this classic verse which was originally released sometime in 2012 for Queens emcee Truth. The close associate of PF Cuttin’ is re-releasing “New Type of Something” for his forthcoming, 18-track LP From Ashes To Kingdom Come out on Ill Adrenaline Records. Apart from the Sean Price feature, the album will also include guest appearances from “O.C., and AG (of D.I.T.C.). Newcomer JK1 The Supernova handles the majority of production along with veteran producers PF Cuttin, Psycho Les (of The Beatnuts), Da Beatminerz, and DJ Doom.”

Pre-order From Ashes To Kingdom Come on iTunes or on wax/cassette via Fat Beats. Or UGHH.
